Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When temperature is above 70; truck has run to reach 195 temperature; the truck will not re-start without priming the injector or allowing to cool off for several hours.
Any suggestions?

What year is the truck. I have experience with the TBI motors pre-'94. Do the injectors spray fuel when you are having the problems. If they do but the spray is weak test the fuel pressure, might have issues with the fuel pressure regulator built into the throttle body. If they do not spray the ICM (ignition control module) may be failing at the high temp. The ICM is bolted to the distributor baseplate, ensure you use heat sink compound when you install a new one. (Since it runs good at low temps I would rule out the pick-up coil). On the vortecs I've heard that the main issues are with the fuel injection wiring harness but the ICM does fail too.
