What is worth more?

Asked by sykes1969 Aug 25, 2013 at 01:51 PM about the Chevrolet Camaro

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 69 Camaro 6 cyl., needs lots of work but all the numbers match. Would I be better off fixing this up or would it be worth more if I dropped in a rebuilt 350.

before you spend anything- make sure it has no rust- how original is it? If it's in good original condition, interior, glass, low miles, decent paint, I would keep it original- the traditional view is that 6 cylinders suck but as time goes on and gas gets more expensive- that Camaro 6 is the mileage king and will be more appreciated as a driver- if it needs total restoration, go ahead and drop the V8 in while you're at it- makes it more fun and more valuable
