after clearing codes frpm computer, how many miles before computer emits codes again?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had a fuel manifold problem & disconnected battery, now trying to get thru emissions but due to reset I can't.  How many miles do I have to drive before computer start emitting diagnostic codes again?  I am running out of days before penalized.  Thanks for assistance - Wolfkeeper2

I believe on this car you can reset the codes with an inexpensive OBD-II code reader....gives you the option to "RESET the codes"~.....think that maybe on this car (never said the year) the trip odometer needs to be held down while turning the ignition to the off position then to the on position five times while holding the tripodometer....not entirely certain this GM vehicle does this...you did not say the year~

Tried following the link you provided but it "is unreachable." Will try again later. The Blazer is a 2000. I'll go try the tripodometer now. Thanks for your help.
