2008 Honda Pilot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Which transmission filter do I use, there are 2 choices?

How much Dexron VI do I need to change transmission fluid?

1 Answer

42,900

The Honda Pilot uses only one type automatic transmission so I think the filter choice is simply different name brands/prices and either one will work. Ask. Also, on most vehicles when you drop the transmission pan to change fluid and filter you will be draining about five to six quarts. Measure it and purchase the same amount starting with one gallon, cheaper than buying all quarts. Dexron VI is the correct fluid. Look and see there is an easy way to replace fluid down the dipstick tube. Some cars don't have an easy fill spout. And finally, it might be a good idea to take your old filter to compare if there's any doubt.
