My 2001 Galant popped the po431 code. Would that be the O2 sensor on the catalytic converter necessarily or could it be one of the O2 sensors on the exhaust? Or possibly entire catalytic converter?

Type P0431 into Google search and select the obd codes website. It informs you what the code is and the potential fixes for your particular code.
