if the alternator belt is there would check the output of your alternator...it should be 15-16 volts or more~

could in fact BE a bad battery...if it's older than five will COOK the alternator...probably this is where you are at now....old battery, comprimized alternator....get both~

I agree with ya Roy except id have to say that theres no need to spend money on a new alternator if it checks out and vice versa on the battery, other than that id say your on the money
