how to replace the clutch master cylinder

it is probelly a bad slave cylender that has gone bad is on driver side of tranny,easy to replace.but if you sure its the clutch master,the bolts are at left side of steering collum on firewall inside cab,2 of them,not bad to get to remove them unhook metal line from it under hood.on inside their is a carter key on rod pull it out will slide right out.

Thank you for the info. Turns out the master being replaced fixed the problem. The master cylinder came with a new rod, which had a new plastic bushing, just before installing it I did notice that there was a great deal of play in the old bushing. Only tricky part was that working alone, I had to get the re-inforcing plate to stay in place, so, I took a couple of twisty ties, and threaded them through the holes. After getting the nuts started, I was able to pull the ties out with needlenose pliers. Clutch now works fine, I will use some white lithium grase on the plastic bushing to make it last longer. Thanks for the advice and info.

glad you got it fixed,but no on the greese,the chemicals will eat throught the rubber.dont put anything on it.

Note: Grease only on the pivot point of the clutch rod ( not where it goes into the cylinder ), but where it attaches to the swing arm. This way the plastic bushing may last a little longer, no rubber at this point.
