Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello! I have a 2001 Ford Taurus. One day (it
was freezing cold for a few days because the
snow and stuff) I went to drive somewhere
and while I was driving I started to slide on
some ice so I tried to break. My car turned
off while I was trying to break! I thought
maybe my battery was dead or something
but the car started up again. The problem
now is that I can put the car into drive,
neutral, reverse, and all that but when I put
my foot on the gas the car just revs and it
doesn't go anywhere.

I don't have a Ford F-150 I have a 2001 Taurus lmao I submitted the question on accident. Any one know why the problem could be? We checked the tranny fluid and it was fine. When I turned my car on my dash lights weren't working and the turn signal symbols were both lit up but I didn't turn them on. It was weird.
