Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 e250 econoline van. Recently when i try to
accelerate the van shuts off. If i turn key off then back on
the van restarts fine. And runs good but when i try to
accelerate the van dies again. I have replaced mass airflow
sensor, electronic throttle body and the sensor, crank sensor
and even replaced the computer. Checked all power packs
to spark plugs. And even went through whole van and
cleaned all grounds. If anyone has any ideas why this is
happening and can give me any advice it would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you

Well, it sounds like a fuel issue. I would start by replacing the fuel filter. If it is still a problem then you may have a bad fuel pump or fuel regulator.

You'd have to get a fuel pressure regulator on there to test the fuel regulator. If you get to this point let me know.

I found the problem it was the fuel rail sensor. It's located on the top passanger side of engine. The sensor sits on the rail. I changed it and reset the computer and my van runs great. And gets great fuel mileage also. Hope this helps.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was because I’m having the same one change coils plugs mass airflow sensor fuel filter fuel pump All vacuum lines and probably a few things I’m forgetting and it still falls on its face after I drive it it sounds like the same problem you’re having to be honest with you

Has anyone that's posted there having the same problem been able to fix it I've changed so many parts and still same thing starts and dies it can run for 30 min or sometimes 5 min but makes zero sense to me

We have spent 100s of dollars replacing computer, fuel pump, fuel filter, coils, ignition, fuel rail sensor and more
