i have a 1986 nissan 300zx turbo..if i am driving in gear and i press on the clutch to disengage from gear how come the car stays at constant rpm for longer than usual(approx 7 sec)???

i have a 1986 nissan 300zx turbo..if i am driving in gear and i press on the clutch to disengage
from gear how come the car stays at constant rpm for longer than usual(approx 7 sec)???

lets say im driving in 4th gear and my rpms are at 2200....i will press on the clutch and put it in
neutral, but my rpms will stay at 2200 for approx 7 sec and i dont know why..can someone
help me?

bad servo sounds like, or your pressure plate may need replacing. What other symptoms occur?
