What kind of person would drive a car like this? All of the above (except for a pimp). When I was little, our family car was a 71 bug. (This is back IN 71!) As a family of 4, we drove round trip California to Texas! By 1975, my parents sold it for a larger, more "pimp-like" car - the Ford Elite (It looked like Starsky & Hutch's car) Then about 7 years ago, my dad bought another 71 bug to refurb. It's classic! If a pimp is driving this, he must have ugly ho's ...lol I think to truly appreciate "the bug body" you have to have been around when these were hot!

how does it feel to have that power plant pushing you along? My 1303 Super Beetle used to pop flames and the exhaust noise when I took it through narrow streets could wake the dead.

Its tempting, your kind of transport isnt available in the u.k. intergalactic shipping costs the earth so no thanks.

people who drive bugs on Guam usually carry shotguns in the shelf under the dash so yeah I personally love bugs cuz I grew up a hot rodder and was told if your car doesn't roar it ain't a beast . I like teasing the tuners here especially when the flames shoot out of my stinger their faces just drop I swear if my car had wings I'd fly. I have a 73 standard beetle with larger pistons, racing cam, and dual carbs, and when a 370Z thought he was playing need for speed he quicly realized my car was just idling but the minute I gave it alittle gas it was a rumble in the jungle baby, then he ate my ass along with my shit and farts!! =D
