Question type: Maintenance & Repair
We have a 2006 Ford Bantam where the starter motor does not want to turn.
The battery is still new and, fuses are okay. What could be the problem?

In modern cars, starter motors are hefty, and solenoids are too. In a sixteen year old car, I'd first suspect that the starter/solenoid are bad. You should test that. But if you haven't done proper maintenance on the car, it could be that the battery cables at the battery are just loose or corroded. See if you see a fuzzy buildup on them. Next, if all the lights illuminate properly, it could be a broken ignition switch .
PATS Warning light flash codes When you switch the ignition to the ON position the Light next to the clock (Immobilizer Warning light) comes ON and then goes OFF. This shows that the system is OK If the Light flashed quickly and then switches OFF and starts flashing a "1" or a "2" and switches OFF and the starts to flash um a "1" to "6" , or say 1 3 or 86 If this light does not come on at all or stays on with the ignition on, there is a problem in the PCM / ECU All the fuses and Relays must be check first. This sounds like a PCM failure . We repair these units . Phone /Whatsapp : 0820606425
