Tried to remote start, it did not start then got in car and it would not start with key

someone said there was an anti theft shut off or something that might need to be reset so
the car would start, the car is a 2008

Did you happen to check your battery voltage? Loose battery connection and or dead battery could cause this to happen.

Most likely problem is that the electronics and/or battery in the key FOB have failed.
