Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why will my car only stay running while
jumper cables r on it as soon as i take the
cables off or turn my lights on it fies?

So battery just needs replaced my door light works and stero works. Could it be altanator?? Im not good on cars and little cas at moment. Just trying to double check.

Have the battery tested, also have the alternator tested. Having your door lights or radio working means nothing regarding the condition of the battery. Lights and radio draw very little current.
