1996 engine swaped w/ 2001 won't start

we checked everything out twice and nothing, it will crank but won't fire.  would a grtound wire to be blamed if it was on the intake not on block?

If you checked the fuel pump and checked to see if there is a spark, then check the coil packs and icm. Sometimes they can get fried. Hope this helps.
