1997 Chevy cavailer

My 1997 cavalier anti theft system light was  I'm
the car started fine drove off and as I was driving
down road my car stop running all gauges shut
down. Hazard light , lights door ding still worked
but the car will not start. Changed the ingnition
swhitch still no gauges nothing. . What's wrong
with my cer?

now that you've changed the ignition if there was a transponder in the key it probably won't start anyways , would it turn over right after it died ? or after an hour or two ? does it turn over now ? scan for codes even if the light ain't on and get the definitions
