Did you bleed the air from the cooling system after you flushed it? If not, this can cause your van to overheat. Capn_Steve answered this three years ago. While the van is cold, loosen the two brass bleeder screws. One bleeder screw is on the thermostat housing, and the other is near the water pump. Fill the cooling system until you have a steady stream of coolant with no air bubbles coming out from the bleeder screws. Then retighten the bleeder screws. Occasionally, check again to make sure there is no air in the system. If you don't bleed the air from the cooling system, your van will overheat.
