I have a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. We bought it from a private dealership. One day we go into the car and we notice that the radio is working funny. The preset buttons take me to the clock adjustment screen. It also appears with an updating screen. The preset buttons still worked, however, they would not display the station and name of the band. After two days of this I found the car dead after getting out of work. The radio kept intermittently turning on after the car door was shut. This is what would draw the battery. I took out the radio fuse so that i could use my vehicle, but i am now without a radio. I have read that it could be several things. My accessories do work appropriately when the vehicle is off. My locks, dome light, everything powers down appropriately. Can someone please give me an idea of what to do next? I am not made of money and do not want a huge bill for this. Thank you,Tom 1 Answer
