abs light on chevy cavalier 2002

I have a 2002 chevy caviler, coupe. I was just drivng it and the ABS light came on and in the manual i have it does not explain what that mean. Please help.

It typically means there is a problem in the ABS system. Most people recommend clearing the codes and seeing if it comes back or not. If it does consult a mechanic to find the problem.

Is this the only light illuminated on the dash after the vehicle does its bulb check when you put the key in run?

I have this same problem this is the only light on after i turn the car on and it all the other lights go off

This one is easy peezy, just remove the anti lock brake fuse. It isn't required by law and the rapid brake pedal pulsation will end. I have 4 of these trucks that haul car trailers, after I did my fuse magic no more sliding through intersections deep in prayer. Try it and do a few panic stops, I think you will toss your unneeded fuse.
