My oil pressure guage

My guage exceeds the maximum pressure. It suddenly
went sky high past the maximumark

Our gauges are junk anyway, check the oil, make sure you put 5w30 in it and not 20 40. If you turn the ignition off, does the needle go back to zero? If no, you need a new stepper motor on the back of the gauge.
