I have a 2008 equinox I had the message engine hot a/c off had the thermostat changed the engine coolant changed the sensor changed my fans are working what else could it be ? HELP Please

My 2008 equinox has been towed in to the  mechanic shop They have
changed the thermostat and the fluids the  coolant sensor it works for a few
days and then it starts getting hot again only time the temperature seems to
go up now is when I’m driving on the streets and I stop at lights when I stop
and start again the temperature starts to go down what else could it be? Help
Please it’s making me crazy.

Ldavies22, did you ever come to a conclusion with your 08’? I just bought an 08’ equinox about a week ago (person to person purchase) and the last 3 days it has been getting hot. Thing is, I have no codes registered on my dash except stabilitrak and the water pump is fine, radiator seems fine, plenty of fluids, no milkiness, no mixture in the oil, has full power when driving or taking off, new thermostat, and new EGR valve. We are at a loss..

Catalytic converter is plugged, temp sensor is bad, you have vapor lock, or the radiator is full of pollen and/or other debris. Ex. bugs, dirt, mud etc. Lightly spray your radiator fins with water from inside to out with very minimal pressure at all preventing bending and mashing of the fins. They are very delicate and bend really easy so be really careful what angle you spray at also. Let me know how it goes
