Anti Theft Mode

I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I tried to start my car
like normal but it was dead and now I can’t get my
key out. My gear shift button is also stuck for some
reason. My car was jumped so i could drive it and
turn it on and off although the key still wouldn’t
come out. A few hours later my cars dead and the
anti theft mode came on. Is there anyway I could do
a system update or do I have to get it towed to a
dealership?

Many, if not all late model GM's lock the key in the ignition when the system goes dead. Have someone take you to Walmart and buy a new battery , once installed you should be ok
can after market anti theft device be installed on a 2010chevy cobolt to keep car from being stolen?
I change the steering wheel colum in a 06 Chevy Cobalt. And the anti theft lock come on. And now it will click over but won't start. I tried leaving my key in and still nothing. What can I do to get it driving
My anti theft light is on. Car has issues starting. How do i deacivate the system? If i giggkle the key sometimes it will start. Please help!!!

For my cobalt when it is left outside in the cold is the only time the theft system comes on. Try getting a new battery!
