2003 Silverado 2500HD No dash/ignition response

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced a dead dash assembly in my truck. It has nothing responding on
new dash assembly. The ignition won't turn over. Radio, windshield wipers,
and hazards work, but nothing else seems to. Not even getting the dinging
response from having key in and door open. Any ideas what may be
wrong. Thanks in advance for any help

known in the trade as an IPK, instrument pack it is linked electronically with the ECU, your automobile may as well be junk as this has to be programmed in line with the rest of the electrics regarding the mileage and anti theft devices, so my advice to you is to take your automobile to your local shop and a qualified technician should be able to diagnose the malfunctioning electronics

I found four blown fuses. Replaced them. Truck starts up fine now. All dash instruments working except gas gauge. Bounces from empty to where ever the actual level is, then back to empty erratically. Thanks for all the help.
