Chevy Cavalier 2003 new brakes

Asked by nathanc Jul 24, 2014 at 11:38 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told that i need to change the brakes in the front and in the back... I asked them to
give me more info (since i know i need new brakes)...

They told me that i need new pads and rotors in the front,  shoes and drums in the back...

My question is : is this basically what the brake system is made from in the back and
front ? do the back wheels have rotors too ? or do the front wheels have drums too ? did
they just give me just some of the parts of the brakes system that need to be changed or
is that basically the whole brake system ?

Your front, have rotor,s and pad,s,the back has drum,s and shoe,s.most of the time you can just change the pad,s and shoe,s,if there is no damage to the rotors or drum, and even if there is a little damage, they can just be turned and replaced, to save money and keep from having to buy new one,s.
