Will car be able to start if the jumper cabels got put on backwards?

My car has been dying off lately. It shakes really
hard after I go to put my foot on the brake and
push the start ignition switch button, almost two
hours ago , some guy tried to give us a just with his
jumper cabels and put them on backwards, MY
CAR WONT START NOW!! I have almost got
rammed in to by huge diesels,  buses, trucks so
many times, I already lost count on the freeway or
even driving in the regular streets because of my
car dying off so much? We bought this Honda off
someone on facebook , he made it seem like the
car was perfect,  and that his asking price is
completely fair , so he would not go lower than
3500$ , I cant believe,  how dirty this guy did me ,
me and my fiance gave him all the money we had
while he knew the whole time exactly what he was
about to do , I'm literally stranded right now with
my fiance and this car wo t start for nothing , we
dont have money to tow it , I wish I could sew him ,
but he went ghost on us , os this car fixable at all??
Or is there anyway where I can buy a decently
priced and okay working battery I can buy
somewhere?? I need help so bad , I payed way too
much money for this car to just junk it , I feel like
crying , but I'm trying to have faith that theres a
way to save and fix my car , somehow I can
possibly afford, please anyone I need some advice

First thing to do is check your fuses. Starting with the underhood fuse box, if equipped. If you're lucky one of the large MAXI style fuses blew and no damage was done. Replace any fuses that are blown. If that doesn't get you going I'm afraid more serious damage has been done. It only takes a moment to fry the computers. Unfortunately you'll have to get an estimate for repairs at that point. Hope that helps! Jim
