Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1967 Firebird.  It has a 350 chevy engine out of a early 70's Camaro.  It has a TH350 automatic transmission.  I want to put in a stick.
Anybody done a conversion that can give me any tips?

it's complicated, but in a simple way. there's more to it than you may think, but the car (especially these years) is designed to be manual, and one of the few benefits of mass production is that everything's there (minus the parts, if that makes sense). there's step by step instructions on the web, any mechanic who's replaced a transmission can tell you what to do, because that's basically what it is (plus you know... adding a clutch pedal, changing the flexplate for a flywheel etcetera). anyways, it's doable. people have done it. nobody's going to be able to give you step by step instructions on forums, however. that said, i'd suggest looking into Tremec. they make great 5-speed kits for your car
