i have a 2007 vw jetta i bought it used and the clutch was kind of tight so we were told not to rest our foot on it so we did not but now all a sudden it will not go into any gear except 1st & it grin

Sorry, but that definitely sounds like you need some clutch work done. If you have a Pepboys in I out area, get a price that work. They also have coupons online for 10% to 15% off that you can use. In addition, they also have a towing service. Look into it.

yep your clutch plate broke don't try and drive it or you will just damage it more. Take the car only to a certified vw mechanic most joe blow mechanics can handle this job tho i never take a risk with mechanics unknow. Mr transmission can do the work as well.

I bought a new radio for my 2008 VW Jetta it worked but it had very bad reception plus I wanted a in dash GPS,I installed the new radio and the screen lit up and I was in the process of setting it up and checking out the functions,I took the key out of the on position and went to turn it back on and I had nothing and even reinstalled the factory radio and still had nothing I checked for voltage at the factory plug and no voltage.I checked all of the fuses under the hood and at the left side of the dash and all of the fuses were fine,Im I missing a fuse,inline etc.I ran a temporary ground wire and still nothing,no voltage at the plug any help will be appreciated I don't know what else to check.Thank You 1 Answer

I have no voltage at the plug that goes to the back of the radio,as bad that the factory radio was it still turned on but just had very bad reception.
