i have a 1976 vw beetle , has shocks, the front end is to stiff,,no give at all..any way to soften it up some....

front supenison ie way to stiff..any way to give it some travel?????i don't know what has been done in the past either....thanks

Like no travel at ALL? Stiff is one thing but rigid is another. May be foreign object blocking the suspension? That's a wild guess

Take a look underneath and see if somebody blocked it in place instead of fixing broken suspension

You can replace the struts and springs for around $200 in parts. That would return it to the stock suspension. Check out Rockauto.com

this is not a super beetle. so no struts an coil springs....
