I have a 1073 vw beetle, restored the outside to original color (red-orange), parts, etc. so body is excellent.  Motor, etc, worked on and runs good. new tires, etc.  what should I ask?

Your vehicle would probably be worth around 5000 to 7000 dollars. There are websites such as Nadaguides.com the have accurate vauesw for collector cars, and yours is probably in between average and excellent.
