Question type: General

We are restoring a 1971 volkswagon super beetle and the rear seat is a little to long to go in.  I was wondering if there is  difference in the rear seat lenghts of a super beetle and a standard beetle

I have never really noticed, nor do I know for sure. I would think not, but if it doesn't fit......

No difference at all. The difference is from the front firewall forward, except the dash and windshield

It may be like the one I am restoring. The PO used a Navajo blanket instead of burlap under the new seat cover, and it is too thick, so the seat is wider. Not by much, but enough that it won't fit. I will recover using the proper thinner burlap and all should be good. FYI.
