Why does my 89 Jeep Wrangler die when i take my foot off clutch

The jeep starts right up idles when i have the clutch in but when i remove my
foot from the clutch pedal it dies i am moving soon and hope its a simple fix
the engine is a straight 6 with a two barrel carb. I am hoping its as simple as
the choke or vacuum line...Any help asap is greatly appreciated

Had a similar issue on my 87. It only happened on the first start up of the day, once I got it moving the problem would go away. I never fixed it (too many other issues), but was able to get around it by starting in gear and hitting the gas pretty hard as I slowly eased out on the clutch. Hope this helps. May be something entirely different from what I dealt with
