Lately by trucks heater went out and just blows cold air also the air conditioner does not work on blows hot air only on warm days. But it is not the heater core as it is not not overheating thin...

Trying to determine if my 2004 Ram 1500 Qd cab 4wd 4.7 Liter automatic transmission is 46RE, 47RE, or 48RE so I can determine the band adjustment? Also I have never done a Band adjustment before and wonder if I should take it to a qualified Dodge mechanic, which however I do not trust dealers & most mechanics?Are the specs for band adjustment in Chilton trustworthy?Thank you for any reply I may be granted...I can turn wrenches :) 2 Answers
