if you mean it dont stay up, then your support struts are worn out

Why does my 2012 town and Chrysler van tailgate opens and closes by itself but mostly opens by itself

Key fob transmitter battery voltage is low. Change the battery and don't forget to change it in the second fob. A new fob cost $308 from the dealer before I figured out all it needed was a $1.50 battery.
