Question type: Maintenance & Repair

96 regal starts runs perfect then dies after 2 min. Used to be 5 min but now 2 min and it wont start back up unless you let it sit for awhile. new computer was installed and had the shop run a dianostics on it and they cant fix. Was told the problem may be the crankshaft positioning sensor ? Its cheap but a pain to replace Any suggestions ? could it be a security malfunction as well ?

May sound silly but a bad ignition module will cause the came thing. As the car heats up they will break down and and cause the car to die. Something to consider. JW
