car will not move in any gear all of a sudden.

2006 toyota sienna.  Daughter drove from her house about 3 blocks, stopped at
a stop sign, then the car would not go.  Tried all gears and the engine just revs.  
When you put it in park it makes a grinding noise and you can push the car
when it is in park.  rolls like it is in neutral.  Already checked linkage and shifter,
all were fine.  It just won't drive or engage park correctly.,

If there's a problem with the parking pin then I think that tranny's got to be rebuilt . I'll assume the fluid is nice and pink and at the proper level

Check to see if an inner cv joint is turning. It sounds like you have a broken CV joint.

I agree with the CV joint or even and axle being damaged. I have only seen a few that have exploded the spider gears in these, but it can happen.
