Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 91 f150 4x4. runs great, starts right up when engine temp is cold but after driving it or letting it run and get up to normal temp, turn it off and it will not start again till engine is cooled off. Replaced a bunch of sensors including the ECT sensor, sounds better but still will not start if engine in warm or hot. what could this be?

Are there codes 14 and or 18 in the memory? These are the TFI and stator. Motorcraft sells the best. The gear has to be pressed off the shaft. Buy your parts at the ford parts counter and have a tech get it together For you to reinstall, your likely cause. Get your codes, run the tests, use motorcraft and run another 10 years or more.

Ask about connector update while at ford parts, some were in need of a repair connector and comes with a really excellent installation plan and supplies.
