Transmission c4 300 strait 6 cylinder will not engage into gear

Driving down road rear tires lock up.
As soon as we pulled over, turned off
truck brakes release.start truck drive
approx 2 miles starts to bog down
then transmission goes out of gear.
Now we start truck press clutch put
in first release clutch but
transmission will not go into gear.
What causes this how.do we fix?
