I have a 1997 Ford F150. Just recently the climate control seems to be stuck on hot. I transition the button to cold and turn on the AC and still get hot ait out of my vents.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is this a vacuum hose problem?

Yeah, take a look at your vacuum servos. Will the register controls let you change from vent to floor to defrost normally? If so, either a servo diaphragm leaks, a vacuum line is off/broken or a linkage is off/broken. Drop the Glove box and take a peek. Look under both sides of the dash too.

Oh for the days when all those linkages were mechanical, like the throttle on your lawnmower. Of course the dealerships would not be able to collect 800 bucks every time a plastic actuator motor went out.
