Why do my Brakes go to floor when engine running

My 1999 Ford F150 6 cylinder just got
new pads and work on the calipers
done. Bled the brakes and they built up
pressure but as soon as I started it up
the brakes failed and the pedal goes to
the floor. I can pump them, having to
manually raise the pedal up and get
some pressure to barely stop it.

I think you have to "set " the calipers , ie. build up pressure . I learned the hard way . Started to drive after dong the brakes and had no pedal till I pumped them up .Who did the work ?

Always pump the brakes after changing pads. The slack between the pads and rotor must be taken up before driving.
