Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the thermostat in my truck, the old one
didn’t really give much heat to pass through but the
truck ran fine. I put the new one in and a week later
the truck started overheating really fast

having a thermostat stuck closed can overheat a vehicle. Same goes if a thermostat is stuck open allowing coolant to free flow through the engine at all times.
