Why does my AC only blow through the defroster and not the vents ? Ford F150 03

OK so my AC will work going through the defroster and is cold but if you put it
on vents it blows in air from outside a.k.a. 110° Heat. I cannot figure out what
is wrong with it.Any ideas would be Greatly appreciated.

Possilbe vacuum leak. I would check the connection to the vacuum tank that is between the battery and fender.
