Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a 81 f150, had a mechanics bed on it,
took that off and just put a new bed on, new
problem, the lights that were on the
mechanic bed were trailer lights and the guy
who wired them completely destroyed the
wiring, there are only 4 wires leading to the
wiring harness plug in for the tail lights, only
wiring harness i could find at a junk yard was
a 5 wired Harness with a diffrent plug in, tried
hooking the wires up and its just chaos, i
beleive i took the harness off a 1988 f150, is
there any good way to rewire all of it? Ordoes
anyone knkw any websites that would sell
such a specialty item? The thing that
confused me was there was constant power
the all the wires leading to all the bulbs, but
they would not burn,

There are 3 wires to concern yourself with right now. Green-Right turn/stop. Yellow-Left turn/stop. Brown is the tail/marker light. The 4th wire is groung and should run from the battery to the frame then the frame toy the bed and lights. Put a test light on the ground wire then check for current at the other wires, remember to check fuses
