1978 F150 custom 4x4

my brake pedal feels normal but car wont stop in a safe distance.
changed master cyl, booster. and upgraded to disks on all 4 corners (no difference
from before and after all these changes)
on thing to mention is that the parking brake never worked and i respired it but the
cable snapped.
P.S. this is a custom car and has a 1977 Lincoln 460 in it.
