Will a 572 fit in my 76 Monte Carlo?

Asked by Jason Jul 28, 2021 at 06:47 PM about the 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Question type: Car Customization

Will a 572 fit under the hood of my 76 Monte Carlo
or will it need serious fabrication to fit? I know I'll
need a beefier transmission and rear end along
with a custom driveshaft and beefier suspension. It
currently has a 350/TH350 setup.

A 454 was an option in your series MC. Any variant of the big block Chevy should fit as long as the deck is the same height as a 454. Personally I would go with a 502.
