I just bought 1976 Stingray. How can I tell if the engine is L48 or L82??

Hello Congratulations! Great purchase. Check the all-knowing serial number, then compare to the chart at the bottom of this page: http://www.idavette.net/facts/76.htm That will reveal the engine. Enjoy! CarGrrl
