Is it any way i can get a th 350 transmisson to be
strong like a 700r4 i got an 80 impala that. Iam
putting 24s on it i like the 700r4. For the overdrive
but iam have to shorten my driveshaft
Nice Impala!! The Turbo-Hydromatic 350 will be fine. If I remember correctly it was optional for your car and much better than the underpowered 200 or 250. Also remember that 1980 was the last year that GM cars weren't computer controlled. 1981 ushered in the computer age and OBD I in it's most primitive form. It was very "high tech" in it's day though! Thanks. But whats that turbo-hydromatic and yes ita 200r with a v6 229 but iam about ti take it out in put a 350 in there. But i have a set a 24 inch rims i want to put on car so i was told to put 700r4 trans in it or put. Bigger gears in rear end but iam not tryin to race or anything i just want rims on car. N. I want to be able to jump on belt line so iam try to figure out what i need to due
Turbo-Hydromatic is what the letters TH stand for when referring to the TH350 transmission. Not sure if the rim size will be an issue other than with the speedometer. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can chime in. I can tell you that the Turbo-Hydromatic 350 is a very good, long lasting transmission. HTH. -Jim
O ok. Cool thanks. For ur help
fit your wheels and tires up first , you will need some planning to clear disc calibers, frame on turning , wheel offset and tire aspect
No comment on the 24s. None.....
