How many convertibles were built with a 402 and auto transmission

I believe this is a rare setup due to the fact that we cant get parts for it. Most parts have to be ordered for a '71 Caprice. Could this be a police interceptor package, or something of The sort.

Hello CAMAROGUY7430-- I can't find exact numbers for you, but I can tell you that of 427,700 Chevrolet Impalas sold in 1971, only 4,576 were convertibles. That is just over one-percent. You can trust that in itself would make parts hard to find. Sorry I can't find how many of them were automatics with the 402 engine. Good luck from Bovan.

the 402 was a popular engine back then , it was used in several different chevys, like the monte carlo & impala,it was actually a 396 bored .030 over.
