Alternator hook up

Yes question is I have a 1965 Chevy impala with
the 327 eng it have a alternator on it so I up
grade to a 220 an I want to no can I still use my
same wire even though my old alternator have 2
wires coming of it an the new one has 4 how
would I hook this up

May I ask why you want a 220 amp alternator? The battery will charge no more quickly, or are you putting in a high-draw audio system or something? For example my Toyota will only feed 5 amps to the battery regardless. Too fast a charge will not hold and can ruin battery
