Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Its been sitting (in a garage, on cement) for several years. I figured it wouldn't run well with a plugged filter; so I swapped that. Didn't solve the problem. Its getting SOME fuel into the TBI, could it be not enough? And what would cause that? It isn't a bad MAP sensor, we tried that. Does that age 305 have a throttle position sensor?

if it set for several years the gas tank probably needs cleaning out,old gas will turn into kind of a sticky varnish, and the fuel pump will need to be replaced also + the fuel filter.clean inside of TB with carb cleaner.

The fuel was treated prior to sitting, but either way that DOES sound pretty realistic. I'll check it out- thanks
