Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am not asking what it may mean, I know it's recommended to visit a garage, etc.
My question is only how to reset it.

Hi truyzky, The "Check Engine" light can be reset by your local auto parts store. Any store that offers to scan your vehicles computer for trouble codes can do this for free. Hope this helps!

This is exactly an answer I wanted to avoid since it answers another question. My question said "myself".

The short answer to your question is that you can reset the light yourself by disconnecting the battery for @ 10-15 seconds and reconnecting it. If the problem is still there the next time the engine is started, however, the light will come back on. Hope this helps.
